Recently we got so many questions on how CDB helped JR and Arnie and how to use it. We always recommend you to talk with your veterinarian before adding supplements to your cat diet.

We use CDB for JR arthritis and for Arnie anxiety. As JR is a geriatric cat – at the tender age of 15 years old – he has many ailments. We wanted to pursue a more natural way to ease his pains. Arnie grew to be a little anxious.

First things first: What is CDB? It is cannabidiol from the cannabis plant. CDB does not give “high,” that would be the magic of THC – tetrahydrocannabinol.

CDB for medicine is not a new thing. Cannabis is known for having anti-inflammatory property and reduce anxiety. If you wish to learn more about the nitty-gritty of CDB – check this blog post from Boulder Holistic Vet.

When JR first joined our family, we noticed his mobility issues. He was very slow, our old apartment was a 2-floor apartment, and he was hardly ever downstairs. We bought stepstools to help him go up the bed and the couch – but he was still slow and limping.

We noticed with him eating high-quality food he improved A LOT – but he still needed some extra help to feel better. We contacted our veterinarian, and she said we’re fine giving him a pet brand CDB – a little less than what is recommended on the package.

A pet brand CDB because human grade ones have MORE CDB % – which can be bad for cats. They’re small creatures, so they need smaller amounts.

We were off to our local Pet Store – Just Cats Store. If you’re in Denver area, that is a MUST place to go!

We bought a Pet CDB and started adding a few drops to JR food. After a few days, we did notice that he was feeling a little better. He was moving more fluid. He was playing a little bit more. And Arnie was eating his food, and he was a little less anxious.

We start adding CDB once a day, a couple of drops. We feel this helps them so MUCH! Here’s a few things that CDB can help your kitty with:

  • IBD – Inflammatory Bowel Disease
  • Pancreatitis
  • Arthritis
  • Cancer (not treat the disease, only improve quality of life)
  • Seizures
  • Anxiety
